ECCJ held a FY2024 Training Program for Vietnam (BECVN15)
<Training program>
Under the entrustment of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE), the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) has been implementing the EE&C capacity building project to support the EE&C promotion in ASEAN.In FY2024, ECCJ implemented the training programs including site visits under the two themes of “Improvement of Energy Management Capabilities of Regional Office Staff” and “Support for CN Promotion in Vietnam”.

Eleven participants from the Department of Industry and Trade (DOIT) as well as the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) of Vietnam participated in this training program.
The following program was implemented from September 24 to 27, 2024.
<Lectures・Site visits, etc.＞
(1) Japan’s recent energy conservation and decarbonization policies
(2) Overview of decarbonization technologies
(3) Investment promotion and support measures to realize CN initiatives
(4) CN activities of Japanese companies in Vietnam
(5) Introduction of the latest Japanese energy-saving technologies and products
(6) Site visit to companies with excellent energy conservation activities
【Results】
(1) Participants shared current issues, discussed improvement measures, and deepend their understanding of how to evaluate and utilize the Energy Audit reports.
(2) The participants gained an understanding of how to utilize the international fund such as JCM through examples of CN projects in Vietnam.
