CN diagnosis (Sep. 2024)

As part of AJEEP Scheme 5 activities, CN diagnosis using on-site equipment was implemented at Unicharm Indonesia (UCI) in Sep. 2024.
Following the preparation of the CN diagnosis report and the reporting of the results within ASEAN, a medium-to-long-term plan was formulated.

The purpose of this meeting was to obtain approval from company executives for the formulated medium-to-long-term plan and to officially launch the CN project as a company initiative.
The personnel responsible for the CN diagnosis at UCI presented the CN diagnosis results and the draft medium-to-long-term plan.
(1) The ultimate goal toward CN by FY2050 is set as Net Zero.
(2) An action plan based on the results of the CN diagnosis was developed.
(3) Two CN measures have already been implemented: insulation of dust collection ducts and cooling of dust collection motors.
(4) A CN promotion framework centered on the President was established, with progress to be managed on an annual basis.
(5) Monthly data is to be submitted to Unicharm Japan headquarters, and progress reports are to be provided.
(6) ACE, MEMR, and ECCJ will participate and provide support as necessary.
The above content was explained to company executives in advance, and approval was obtained following the Q&A session.

While this marked the conclusion of the CN diagnosis activities under AJEEP Scheme 5, it represented the start of the CN project for UCI.
Extensive support was provided, including expert dispatch for on-site CN diagnosis, guidance on data collection and analysis methods, assistance in preparing diagnosis reports, and instruction on approaches to formulating medium-to-long-term plans. These efforts contributed to the development of personnel capable of formulating CN projects. This was the second CN diagnosis in the industrial sector under Scheme 5, and the intended outcomes were achieved. The experience gained will be utilized in this fiscal year’s CN diagnosis activities.
