Holding of a local seminar on creation of EM Manual in Mumbai, India

The Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) held a seminar in Mumbai, India ,together with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for the creation of EM Manuals based on the EC Guidelines. This was intended to promote the dissemination of the “EC Guidelines for the Industrial Sector” which was completed with Japanese assistance in September 2018.
As previously reported, India has been promoting activities that are selecting model factories from each industrial sector and letting them create an EM Manual in an aim to disseminate the EC Guidelines. Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) has been providing support to the BEE consistently from the formation of the EC Guidelines.
Following the seminar in Delhi last September, a seminar on the creation of EM Manual based on the EC Guideline was held in Mumbai in February this year. Three experts participated from the ECCJ and gave lectures on the creation of EM Manuals. Further, the model factories reported on the activities for creating EM manuals, and the results and lessons learned were shared with the subsequently factories that had just started creating EM manuals.
